Brought My Iron Levels Up
Blood tests often show me to be slightly anemic. My iron levels were down considerably when I had testing done to prepare for elective surgery. The doctor wanted my iron levels to be higher first. He suggested that I take Feriva for awhile and get the blood tests again. After a month of taking Feriva, my iron levels were high enough for the surgery to take place. When I was on iron supplements for anemia before, they upset my stomach and made me constipated. I did not have these problems with Feriva. If I ever have to take an iron supplement again, I will ask for Feriva.

No Side Effects
Other iron supplements that I tried gave me stomach pain, nausea, and constipation. I tried eating extra fiber and taking a fiber supplement to combat the constipation, but it never totally corrected the problem. I gave up and stopped taking the iron supplements. Then, my doctor prescribed Feriva in hopes that it wouldn’t cause the stomach complaints that the others caused. I did not have any stomach issues or any other side effects with Feriva. My iron levels are slowly rising towards normal amounts.
