Best Medication for Me
I have severe, ongoing pain from a degenerative condition of my spine. My doctor has prescribed several different pain killers for me over the years. Most of them either made me sleep all the time or made me dizzy. My doctor suggested we try Xtampza ER since I couldnt deal with the dizziness from the medication I was on. So far, this drug has been amazing. It takes the edge off the pain and I havent had any dizziness or any other side effects. Im glad my doctor recommended it. I hope it keeps working this well without problems.

Okay But Slow
Due to insurance changes, I had to switch from Oxycodone to Xtampza ER. From what I understand, I believe my doctor gave me a slightly larger dose than what would be the exact equivalent from the Oxycodone dose I was taking. This may be because I was having some pain in the mornings when I wake up. So far, the Xtampza relieves the pain, but the most noticeable difference between Xtampza and Oxycodone is that Xtampza is much slower to take effect. It takes a good 3 hours for this medication to kick in.
