Seems to Be Working Well
I had been taking Herceptin treatments, but they became less effective at keeping my tumors in check. I keep using the Herceptin, and my doctor added Tykerb. This seems to have given my cancer treatment a boost. The tumors have stopped growing and spreading. I am being monitored closely. I can only hope the Tykerb continues to halt the spread of cancer. The only side effect that I experienced was diarrhea. I take some Imodium to help with that. I have also added a probiotic yogurt to my daily diet to try to keep the diarrhea at bay.

Good for Breast Cancer
My doctor gave me Tykerb for breast cancer. He is happy with the results. The tumors are not growing. I experience some itchy skin which is an annoying side effect, but I will tolerate it since it seems to be working well. I take Benadryl to help with the itchiness. Im not sure thats really helping at all. Im going to ask my doctor if there is anything more that can be done to reduce the itchiness. Overall, Im glad for this medication and what its doing to slow down the progression of cancer.
