Chemotherapy is incredibly tough and has a myriad of side effects which take a toll on your both physically and emotionally. One of the worst things about chemotherapy is the nausea and vomiting which follows your dosage. You lose your appetite and cannot eat a bite. Akynzeo is a great drug as it counteracts both these things. Losing your appetite because of the nausea is bad since you already are losing enough energy with your cancer treatment. For me, using Akynzeo has been very helpful since it lets me eat meals without the nausea and vomiting that follow chemotherapy sessions.
You take the medicine before your chemotherapy session, preferably an hour before so when you eat later, it works well for you and impacts your system. My favorite thing about this medicine is the little to no side effects. You can easily take Akynzeo to counteract the worst of the side effects which chemotherapy induces. This medicine has given me my sanity in the midst of cancer treatment since I would wretch like crazy because of chemo and now I can eat in peace without feeling terrible which is great.
