Saved My Son’s Life
My son has always had severe allergies. We have had to use an EpiPen several times during his childhood. He is allergic to latex, fish, and seafood. He is an adult now. He carries an EpiPen with him at all times. He clips it to his pants so that he always has it readily available. He had to inject himself a few times. This is a lifesaving medication. I am so thankful for Epipens. This medication is essential for any families who have members with potentially dangerous allergies.

I always carry 2 epipens with me. I am highly allergic to beestings. I had to inject myself several times. Once, the one dose was not enough. I was still having trouble breathing. I had to use two epipens. From now on, I always carry 2 epipens just in case that happens again. After I use an epipen, I take over-the-counter allergy medication to get rid of any hives on my skin. I recently read that parents of children with severe allergies are now told to carry 2 Epipens. I would ask your doctor if it’s the safest thing to do in case another dose is needed.

Like most of the people that commented here I had an Anaphylactic reaction and almost died. I was told to get and Epi-pen. A long period of time went by and I never applied for one! Recently I got another allergic reaction (they don’t know from what) that included every thing including the swelling of my lips but not the elimination of the breathing and was told to go out and get an Epi-Pen, With Medicare the cost for the Epi-pens was outrageous and because I have a Government program (Medicare)I am not eligible for a manufactures coupon? There is no where to go to get the 0 copay epipen coupon. I called the number and it was an advertisement to get a Walmart gift card and then someone who didn’t speak English well who transferred me to a number that cut me off.
