Pain free at last
I had been suffering from painful bladder syndrome for over two years. My family doctor tried putting me on different drugs but none did anything to relieve the pain. Sometimes I think some of the drugs made the pain worse. I talked to my gynecologist and she referred me to a urologist who wanted me to try Elmiron. It took a while but I did notice that the pain from holding my urine had lessened. I had also been drinking a lot of water which seemed to help.

It worked!
Elmiron really helped to reduce the inflammation on my bladder which I have had since I was 22. It is so nice to be able to go to a movie with my husband or out with friends without having to go to the bathroom every twenty minutes or so. It is kind of expensive but having my life back again is worth it to me. I do suggest staying with the drug because I stopped for a while and when I started taking Elmiron again it took a while for my body to feel right again. I have not noticed any side effects thank goodness.

I think this is awful. Elmiron is so expensive because you have a patent. My co pay is almost $300.00. I don’t understand it. If you looked at the cost it is almost $2500.00 for my dosage. Do you all really make drugs to help US or are you making drugs to make you richer? Along with the other cost of medicines I am sure you would rather we didn’t eat. Am I angry Yes I Am. Took a coupon in to drug store advised it would cost me $600.00. I am really thinking of going off of it. I have been on it for 25 years more or less Now is the time to suffer.

I think it is outrageous how in My America how I am a white 56 yr old married woman who has a husband that I am legally married to and he has a decent paying job with an insurance plan that will run you broke all its own with the high deductible we have to pay which is $3500 a person so $7000 a year for both of us before anything gets covered so you can say we are on our own for doctor bills during every year NOT to mention that because My IC condition is PRE-EXISTING, I AM NOT COVERED ONE CENT FOR MY ELMIRON…. So you people are charging me $900 (YES $900 A MONTH) for medication that I have to take 3 times a day for the rest of my life.
What am I suppose to do when we retire? Oh lets see I guess we wont be able to because I have to pay for my $900 a month medicine..
I think this is discriminating to a normal white couple, who work and live a normal life.. Because of trying to live a normal life we get spit on like every other white heterosexual couple in America who works for a living. It would be better if we got divorced and lived together and filed separate tax returns and I showed little income and then I COULD GET HELP from the RX plans that you so sadly offer to all those people who are not working, illegals, homeless, don’t want too work, living on the SYSTEM. Those are the people that you only want to help…
I printed a $35 dollar coupon about 2 months ago and now I can even find that coupon again to get a simple $35 off of $900..
Because of cost I CANNOT take my medicine as prescribe. I cannot afford to take it 3 times a day so I will take 2 one day then the next day I will take one. This is my only optional method in order to try and keep the medication in my system but I never feel good because of it.. My Father’s side is known for bladder & kidney problems, its runs on his side of the family. I have already witness one of my 1st cousins giving his brother a kidney so he would not die.. So my argument is that because your company does not want to help the middle-aged white American married couple my future holds for me is years of dialysis until perhaps I need a kidney transplant one day.. I think the cost of your medicine outragous because of the fact (that you are the only manufacture) of this type of medication so you don’t feel that you have to help every person that is on Elimron , just the plain ole White Married American Female is the ones that you don’t careless about.
I will be contacting a lawyer and sending a letter first to the Office of Consumer Services-Complaints Louisiana Department of Insurance then Governor of Louisiana then President of Unite States Donald Trump his self!!! This is outrageous and unethical and I will move further with this matter!!!
