Great Medication for Cancer
My doctor recommended Alecensa(Alectinib) for tumors in my abdomen. My body responded very well to this medication. I think its wonderful. All the tumors in my abdomen are now gone. I have not experienced any side effects. The cancer had metastasized to my brain. The brain metastases have shrunk to half their size. The doctor said that Alecensa only works for people who are ALK positive. I would recommend this medication to others who have ALK positive cancers. Definitely, talk to your oncologist and discuss different medication options along with their side effects.

Better Results for Me
After having some issues with other medications for ALK positive lung cancer, my doctor prescribed Alecensa. So far, this medication seems to be doing better at treating the lung cancer without additional brain metastases. Its still something we have to keep watching. I was developing many brain mets with the last medication. It was pretty scary, but so far its getting better with this new medication. Hopefully, the medication shrinks the lung cancer without introducing new brain mets and reduced the brain mets that I already have. I still have a long way to go in my lung cancer treatment.
