No More Injections!
I always hated all injections. Giving myself multiple injections of insulin a day in order to control my A1C levels was extremely stressful for me. I talked to my doctor about how much it was bothering me to get so many injections. He suggested that I try Afrezza inhaled insulin. I agreed to try something new to me. I was hopeful but also afraid it wouldnt work as well as the injectable. The Afrezza worked surprisingly well. I will never go back to injections. This has improved my control of my A1C level and improved my mood and helped me have a more positive attitude towards living with diabetes since I no longer have the stress of numerous injections. It took a little while for me to get used to the inhaler, but it was very easy to use. I would recommend Afrezza inhaled insulin to anyone who is struggling with taking several injections every day. If you are getting stressed out because of injections, you should talk to your doctor about Afrezza. It costs a little more, but I believe it is worth the extra cost to avoid the stress of injections. I hope it continues to be effective treatment for managing my diabetes.
