Dropped My Cholesterol Lower Than Other Medications
This medication has been great. I have been taking Vytorin for about 9 years. When I started taking Vytorin, my cholesterol and triglycerides were high. I had tried other medications, but they only lowered my cholesterol a small amount. My doctor was confident we could find something that would be more effective for me. After he started me on Vytorin and I had been taking it for a couple months, my cholesterol had dropped to 129 which is lower than I ever remember it being. My LDL was at 62. The HDL level was 51. My triglycerides were 82. My cholesterol did go up a little bit since then, but it’s still relatively low. I had some mild leg cramps from this medication, but they did not last long. I feel that the effect it had on getting my cholesterol down and keeping it down was well worth it. The medication is a bit expensive. I hope that the cost will come down when a generic version is available. The medication is easy to use, and I’m very satisfied with it. I would recommend it to anyone who hasn’t had the best success with other cholesterol medications.
