Helped Make Chemo Easier
I was really scared about taking chemotherpay even though I knew it was my only chance to survive cancer. I’d heard the horror stories of people vomiting and feeling nausea throughout their treatment period. I ddn’t want that to be me beucase I have kids and a husband that depend on me. Even if I got some rest, I did not wan t be vomiting and experiencing nausea all day. My doctor prescribed me Sancuso transdemal. He said it would help to stop me from constantly vomiting and feeling nausea. He said it worked by blocking out a natural substance like Serotonin which leads most chemo patience to vomit. Taking this medication is a bit different from taking others. It comes in patches so you have to apply the patch the day before your chemo treatment or whatever your doctor tells you. Apply it to a clean area of the outside part of the upper arm. You really need to make sure that the area clean! I used medical tape to keep the patches in place. I have to say, my treatment with the patches were so much better than the treatments without it. I threw up once or twice, but that was it!
