Firazyr Really Helps With HAE Attacks
Let me start off by saying that Firazyr is not a cure for HAE, but man does it help! HAE symptoms include sudden and extreme attacks of pain and swelling. Not everyone has the same number of attacks. I sadly have an attack about once a week and cant seem to find a way to get rid of it. Ive seen many doctors, but none of the medications they recommended seemed to subdue my symptoms at all. That being said, I finally found a doctor who I thought had me in his best interest. He talked with me about my symptoms and recommended Firazyr to me.
He said it would not cure my condition, but it would reduce it a lot. He has a nurse train me on how to do the injections so that from that point on I could administrate it myself. I thought that was really great because of the swelling is not cured right away, it could easily turn into something fatal. The syringe comes prefilled for just one use and when I need to use it I inject it jut underneath the skin. It works right away!
