Guards Against DVT
I have a history of deep vein thrombosis, so I have to take one of the medications that prevent blood clots. I tried other medications, but they made me severely ill with a lot of side effects. The doctor switched me to Enoxaparin injections. I am not thrilled about giving myself injections, but I went from being violently ill on other medications to having no side effects at all with Enoxaparin. So, I will gladly deal with taking injections since this medication is keeping me alive and actually lets me live my life without being sick.

Very Good Substitute
My doctor put me on Warfarin, but explained that I would need to take Enoxaparin injections until the Warfarin began to work. I am so thankful for this medication. It helped me feel less anxious about the wait until the medication reached therapeutic levels. With everything going on after my deep vein thrombosis scare, I was relieved to have one less thing to worry about. This medication is wonderful. I did not have any side effects on this medication. After the Warfarin reached therapeutic levels, I stopped taking Enoxaparin. If something happened where I had to go off Warfarin, I would ask for Enoxaparin.
