Shrunk my cancer
I am a 52-year-old male and diagnosed with lung cancer since 1 year. My doctor started me on Alimta and Carboplatin after 6 month of being diagnosed. Now I’m off the other medication and only taking Alimta. I am feeling pretty good. I can drive to and from my appointments myself. Not feeling fatigue at all like other reviews suggested. Nausea and constipation are the worse side effects I’m feeling but the medication has kept cancer quiet for some time so I’m not complaining at all. Hope no new cancer develops now. Good luck to others on this medication and to those who are facing similar health problems.

Fatigue but cancer free
My 79-year-old mother has been taking Alimta for some time now. She is diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer. So far, she has taken 6 infusions with Alimta. Her cancer has shrunk significantly and no new cancer has developed. Although she is suffering from fatigue and water retention. And occasional diarrhea. But her diuretic medicines were changed by her oncologist and her condition has improved tremendously. With the disease, she used to have less good days. But now she is having more good days and less bad days. Hope this continues all her life.
