Reviews For Letrozole

Early detection is the first step for an effective breast cancer treatment.
Self exams regularly can be a great asset for the early treatment of breast cancer. About two years ago I felt a small lump in my left breast. I was hoping it wasnt anything too serious but having relatives in generations past who had breast cancer, I didnt hesitate to get a mammogram. I was very forward with my doctor and ask tons of questions. Unfortunately I was right and had to go through a mastectomy. After the procedure I was given Letrozole. I was told this medication is an anti-estrogen drug. Some breast cancers are sensitive to estrogen. I didnt have any major side effects; some hot flashes but overall nothing I cant handle.

Letrozole was a good replacement
I found some lump in my breast which I was hoping went away but my breast became tender that made me worried. I got treatment and had to take medication to avoid more growth after a procedure. I was prescribed Tamoxifen but I had some side effects. I got nauseous, cramps and my muscles hurt. In addition, I wasnt very responsive to it. Tamoxifen was replaced by Letrozole. So far I havent had any major side effects such as my muscle pain. I havent been overly nauseous since the medication was switched. I was more responsive to Letrozole; furthermore it just worked better for me.
