Effective but gives too many mood swings!
I was prescribed Balziva for birth control around 6 months ago. The first month I took it, I was a mess. Tender breasts, nausea, bloating, and headaches – you name it. I was suffering from it all. The worst part was my mood. I was biting at everyone who came near me. My husband couldn’t manage to talk to me without me fighting at his every single sentence. The next 2 months were the same but the fourth one; I noticed I was less nauseous and very less irritable. Only the day before my periods started, I was an emotional train wreck.
I moped around all day and didn’t leave the house. But after my periods started (which were very light) I was back to my normal self. The pill is effective in preventing pregnancy and is giving me 5-6 days of regular cycle. I guess the body takes 3-4 months to adjust to the medication. And one day of mood swings is tolerable since the prevention is being taken care of. My husband and I have decided to take the pill for couple more months until we are ready to try for a little one.
