Reviews For Acyclovir

I am a banker by profession but its my hobby to surf the net for medical purposes. Its not strange that I found myself searching the net and going pages after pages last summer when I was on a tour in Asia when I developed shingles on my back. They hurt like I was stabbed by someone. I remember taking a multitude of drugs for the pain but I still wanted to know what exactly had I got. After a bit of a fruitful searching I embarked upon an article which declared them to be caused by herpes virus and the drug mentioned for its treatment was an antiviral by the name of acyclovir.

I later confirmed it with the doctor there and he advised me to take it. At first I was a bit worried about the high dose of the drug but the physician assured it needed. With two weeks of rest and medication, I felt better and returned home. I have now fully recovered from it. That period was painfully but I havent developed herpetic neuralgia which some patients do. I think my disease got diagnosed on time and treatment started early thats why I didnt suffer like other patients of this disease usually do. Nevertheless, I am thankful to have recovered and find this antiviral therapy effective.
