Reviews For Calcium-Acetate
Taking this medication for kidney failure
I am currently on a daily dose of calcium-acetate to help manage symptoms of kidney failure and slow its progress. Ill need a transplant soon but I can at least function pretty well right now in comparison to how I was before I started taking this drug. Until I can find a suitable donor, Im taking this, and its keeping me stable enough to be okay until then. Im thankful I have the time to wait now without having to be on dialysis every other day.

Kidney failure treatment
I recently got a kidney transplant after experiencing kidney failure for many years. Before my transplant I was on dialysis every three days and did not have energy for even the simplest tasks. I was basically bed-ridden. I started taking this drug a bit before my transplant and it slowed down by failure a lot. I could walk around again and have a little bit more of a life. I only needed dialysis once every 10 days after that. Now that I have had my transplant, Im off the medication. It does work very well though.
