Developing brown skin spots during pregnancy
Living all my life in a sunny side of the country I never thought I would have any major side effects to sunlight. I always protect my skin but my pregnancy made my skin more susceptible to the sun. I never knew this could happen. I found out thru my doctor after showing him some brown spots in my skin I never seen before. My doctor did a biopsy and diagnosed me with Melasma. She had me using Lustra, which I applied to the area and it cleared up my skin with no side effects. I am more careful now when I go out. I was told my Melasma is likely to disappear after the pregnancy since my hormonal change had something to do with my skin sensibility.

Potential effect of birth control on the skin
A side effect of my birth control pills has been a higher sensitivity to sun light. I had to head to my dermatologist because I was getting some brown patches in my skin. I thought only elderly people developed those. After my doctor looked at my skin under a light, named Woods light, he told me I had something called Melasma. I didnt want to go out in public with those brown spots; it made me insecure of my appearance. I am using Lustra cream in those spots and it has lightened the areas making my face look smoother.
