My dog was on HeartGuard for a long time and I was skeptical about switching to something new, but the vet talked me into trying Iverhart since it is a less expensive form of the same medicine. I have to say that there have been no problems with my dog at all and he takes it without a problem. I just put it in some peanut butter on a cracker and he doesnt even notice it. I have collies and I had heard from someone that they could be sensitive to Iverhart, but the vet assured me that there was no problem with it and explain to me that its just like taking generic acetaminophen instead of Tylenol. I can understand that, so weve been giving it to our dogs and there has not been a single problem. No side effects, none of them have been sick, and they are always healthy. I have to say that it works just as well as our previous brand but at a price that is much easier to fork over.
