Cheaper Blood Sugar Regulation
I was on Lantus, but I had to switch to Basaglar due to changes in my insurance. The doctor told me Basaglar is very close to Lantus. So far, it seems to be working fine. At least, the co-pay for Basaglar is much cheaper for me than it was for Lantus. Its actually less than half the price. I really hate changing medications, but so far this change has been completely uneventful. My dose of Basaglar is one unit less than Lantus. My HbA1c test results were very good. I would recommend Basaglar to anyone who had good effects with Lantus but has to change medications.

Very Satisfied
My doctor had to change my prescription to Basaglar. I had been doing well on Lantus, but my insurance coverage changed. When I prepped my first dose of Basaglar, the needle did not prime. When I reinserted the needle, it primed the second time. I did not care for the BasaglarKwikpen, but I think I will get used to it. I didnt like pushing the plunger for the injection. My blood glucose the next morning was exactly as I would expect it to be. It was very much like taking Lantus.
